Meet Cricket, Scooter and Toby, this week’s pets of the week in the San Gabriel Valley and Whittier area.

Spunky Cricket loves to talk and chase bouncy balls. This spirited pet is available for adoption from Lifeline for Pets. (Photo courtesy of Lifeline for Pets)

Chipper and happy Cricket

Cricket is affectionate, friendly, full of spunk, and quite playful. A little smarty-pants, she is very alert and intelligent. She loves to talk and enjoys chasing little bouncy balls. One of Cricket’s favorite games is jumping into a cat tree and inviting her favorite humans to pet her while she squirms around happily, soaking up love and attention.

Cricket can be a little rascal at times, but in a cute way. Beautiful with a sleek, athletic body like a mini panther, Cricket has shiny and silky black fur. She does fine with other cats, but she loves to be No. 1. However, she will settle in, just as she has with her fellow felines at our rescue. Cricket is spayed, healthy, current on vaccines and microchipped.

There’s no stopping Scooter, No. A504269

Scooter is a fun and confident little dog with a big personality! Scooter is 5-years-old and has hind leg paralysis, but he doesn’t let that slow him down. He loves zooming around the play yard in his wheelchair and being excited about everything. Scooter also loves being scratched all over his body, neck and ears.

The adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip and age-appropriate vaccines.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.

View photos of adoptable pets and schedule an adoption appointment on the website. Adoptions are by appointment only, and new adoption appointments are available at 10 am Sundays and Wednesdays. Toby, No. A359167, is an angel you’ll adore

Nine-year-old Toby is a sweet guy who will probably greet you with a soft and sweet meow. Toby’s love language is touch more than it is toys or food, especially if you pet him on his chin or head. This handsome guy is loving and kind and would be the perfect friend for snuggles on the couch.

The adoption fee for cats is $100. All cat adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip and age-appropriate vaccines.
