Pet spot: Dittmer man changes his tune about cats | Pet Pics

Written by adsenceatef

Tony Kaina of Dittmer said he changed his mind about cats after taking in his 3-year-old tabby, Stanley.

“I never thought I’d be a cat person, but that cat’s turned out to be loyal and loving and caring,” Kaina said. “There was a stray that had kittens on our property. We kept Stanley.”

Kaina said it is not a coincidence that he took in the cat in 2019 and named him Stanley.

“We got him as a kitten when the Blues won the Stanley Cup,” he said. “That’s where his name comes from.”

Stanley has outstanding qualities, Kaina said.

“He’s just so smart. He plays fetch. He’s got little mouse toys. I’ll throw them and he’ll bring them back. He comes when you call him.”

Kaina said Stanley is usually friendly.

“For the most part, he’s pretty loving to everybody.”
